NVIDIA announced the purchase of the British microprocessor developer Arm from the Japanese holding company SoftBank. The deal will amount to $ 40 billion. Arm develops chips for most mobile devices. The largest buyers of its products are Apple, Samsung and Qualcomm. According to Bloomberg, Arm technology is used in more than 1 billion smartphones sold annually.
